So, you've booked us to carry out your house move; congratulations on choosing our five star reviewed man and van and removal service.

We aim to provide every customer with the best service possible that doesn't break the bank. To that end, as we charge an hourly rate, here're a few hand hints on how to prepare for your move to make sure it's done in an efficient manner:

* start packing a few weeks before the day of the move. This gives you the opportunity to work out what you want to keep and what you want to get rid of. Our average loading time is an hour so packing while we load will result in us having to wait or running into each other.

* if you don't have a private driveway you might have to consider reserving two parking bays that are closest to your front door. How far the van is parked from your front door affects the loading time and the majority of people in the London area don't have private driveways so you might have to be creative to reserve a parking space as close to your house as possible.

* dismantle furniture (to the best of your ability). If you have furniture that needs to be taken apart, especially wardrobes, doing your own dismantling will greatly reduce amount of time your move takes.

* if you can lay your hands on boxes by all means please use them. This may look like an avoidable expense but removal boxes can take a lot of stuff in one go and stack in the van thereby enabling us to make use of as much of the cubic feet of the van as possible. We sell moving boxes for as little as £2 each.

If you're unsure about anything and need advice or guidance, please feel free to contact me and I'll be happy to help.
